Window fall protection is a Federal Code requiring fall protection on all operable windows. For example, fall protection is needed when exterior height above grade is more than 72 inches. There is specific criteria each window must meet when in question about fall protection. Like most codes, there are many exceptions to the requirements and it’s best to ask your estimator if you’re concerned.
